Sergeli District Municipality

Sergeli District of Tashkent City was founded on January 20, 1967. The emergence of the region is due to the construction of housing on empty lands to move residents affected by the 1966 Tashkent earthquake. In the 1980s and 1990s, modern 4-and 9-story buildings began to be built instead of 1-and 2-story wooden buildings.

Sergeli district has archaeological monuments of Khonobodtepa and Shoshtepa. On the territory of the region there are the remains of the settlement of Nogaikurgan on the top of Kogaytepa, an archaeological monument dating from the 1st–16th centuries

In the north, the Sergeli district borders with the Yakkasaray district, in the north and northeast with the Mirabad district, in the northwest with the Chilanzar district, in the east with the Bektemir district, in the south and southwest with the Zangiata district and Yangikhayot district. Khokim of the Sergeli region Shukurov Elbek Khabibullaevich
