Sergeli District Municipality
Sergeli District of Tashkent City was founded on January 20, 1967. The emergence of the region is due to the construction of housing on empty lands to move residents affected by the 1966 Tashkent earthquake. In the 1980s and 1990s, modern 4-and 9-story buildings began to be built instead of 1-and 2-story wooden buildings. Sergeli district has archaeological monuments of Khonobodtepa and Shoshtepa. On the territory of the region there are the remains of the settlement of Nogaikurgan on the top of Kogaytepa, an archaeological monument dating from the 1st–16th centuries [.
